What Does a Planned Day Look Like?
Every ride is a little different, but the rhythm stays the same – unhurried, sociable, and shaped around the people on it.
We Meet & Set the Tone
We’ll meet at a relaxed starting point, check bikes, chat about the route, and agree what kind of day everyone’s after. The plan stays flexible.
Riding, Exploring & Taking It In
Expect a flowing mix of fire tracks and singletrack, open views, and places worth stopping for. The pace is steady and conversational. Ebikes welcome; routes are adjusted so the group rides together.
A Proper Stop
We’ll build in a proper café stop (or a friendly local pub, depending on the route and group) for a sitdown, a drink, and something to eat.
More Trails, More Views
Ideal if you want an easy, nofuss booking, enjoy small social groups, or you’re visiting and want a great introduction to local trails.
Some riders like to join the carefully planned day and see where it leads. Others prefer to shape something together in advance and create their very own Bespoke Adventure. Both are guided with the same laidback approach, local knowledge, and attention to detail.

Saturday 4th July 2026
Join me on 4 July for a welcoming half-day guided gravel ride following the River Almond towards its source.
This striking, remote route climbs from 750 to 1400 feet over 10 miles of well-defined Land Rover track, taking us deep into the heart of the glen for coffee and cake at the bothy before returning to our starting point for a picnic. It will most likely take 60 to 90 minutes to reach the head of the glen, with around 20 minutes for a snack stop, and the return will be a little quicker as it is downhill. We’ll round off the ride with a picnic of around 30 minutes, with time for photographs and a chance to enjoy the peace and beauty of rural Perthshire.
The route is suitable for gravel, hybrid and mountain bikes, and e-bikes are very welcome, but it is not suitable for road bikes or bikes with tyres narrower than 25mm.
The surface is a mix of hard-packed Land Rover track, looser sections, a few small muddy stretches and some rougher parts that may feel more technical. The pace will be shaped by the group, with regrouping whenever needed, and no one will be left behind. If you have any questions about the terrain or whether the ride is right for you, please get in touch hello@scottishbikeadventures.co.uk and I’d be very happy to chat about the route, cycling ability and equipment choice or any other questions you might have.
Entirely off road and surrounded by beautiful high hills, this is a ride of wild landscapes, big views and fresh mountain air, with the chance to spot buzzards, kites, smaller birds and deer along the way. I’ll take care of the route so you can settle into the ride and enjoy a memorable morning of adventure, scenery and good company.
If this sounds like your kind of morning, I’d love you to join us. Spaces are limited — sign up now and come ride with us.

Half Day or Full Day?
